Creative Roots Collective (CRC) is a collective impact initiative that brings music, literacy, and art education to students at Cactus Valley Elementary School in Silt, CO. By bringing music, art, and literacy education together, CRC is able to give students the social, emotional, and intellectual benefits of a well rounded arts education.
By bringing together multiple organizations CRC has been able to provide educational programming on Fridays at Cactus Valley Elementary School in Silt, CO.
We partner with the Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Lift-Up, Garfield Re 2 School District, New Castle River Center, Cultural Agents Inc., Harvard University, and Pre-Texts.
We currently offer a half-day Friday program during the school year for 4th and 5th grade students at CVE.
This summer we are excited to offer Super Camp, a middle school preparation summer camp for rising 6th graders. The camp will take place at Riverside Middle School, giving students the chance to get familiar in the new building before the start of the school year to set them up with the greatest chances of a successful start to their middle school journey. We will be looking to build confidence, provide a head start on 6th grade reading in a fun, approachable way, and foster invaluable academic and personal skills.
